PJFL’s flag football program is open to boys and girls in the 2nd through 12th grade. Teams practice 1 time per week beginning in mid-August and play games on Saturday’s starting in mid-September at the Hart Middle School in Pleasanton. The PJFL flag football season consists of 9 regular season games. Standings are not kept.
With only 10-12 players on each team, players are assured to play each half on either offense, defense or possibly both with PJFL’s mandatory play rule. The format is 8 on 8 with blocking on offense and 3 eligible rushers on defense. All players are eligible to receive a pass or run the ball.
The league provides uniforms, flags, footballs, mouth guards, and trophies. All games are on Saturdays and equipped with paid referees and down markers at Hart Middle School.
PFJL’s flag football league is a great way to introduce and expose new players to the game of football.
PJFL’s contact league is made up of the following divisions:
Junior Division (2rd through 4th Grade)
Intermediate Division (4th through 6th Grade)
Senior Division (7th & 8th Grade)
